Letter from the President

We are so excited to see everyone in Huntsville in September! We hope you’ll be able to take advantage of both upcoming events – the SPRF blasts us off September 11 and 12 with a speaker-packed conference, and then we’ll splash down with PRCA's annual meeting on September 13 with awards, industry experts and vision for our organization.

Reminder – your PRCA membership automatically gives you membership to SPRF. The registrations for the events are separate.

During our meeting, the PRCA Board is looking forward to sharing the results of our strategic planning initiative. We’ll outline some of the ways that we believe we can increase the value of membership and grow our organization.

BONUS – register for PRCA's PR Splashdown by the end of July and be entered to win a Solo Stove Bonfire from one of our sponsors. The event is already a great deal at only $50, and we’re throwing in a chance to win a fire pit for the (hopefully) cooler weather right around the corner.

Each month I hear about some of the engaging programming going on in our chapters, and I hope you’re all taking advantage of the opportunities to hear speakers with great insight. In addition to speakers, there are lots of ways to find out more about pursuing accreditation.

Do you want to be more involved?

It’s almost that time of year where Boards, at both the state and local level, begin the nominating process for the upcoming Board year. I encourage you to consider how you’d like to serve, at either level. Not only is Board service a great networking opportunity and a chance to share your ideas, but for APRs, you also earn CEUs for your service.

Our membership is our strength

We have an incredibly diverse membership – our members span varied industries and specialities.

It’s always a great time to join PRCA – bring a friend to a meeting, and remind them that rates for news members are prorated now.

Thank you to everyone who supports PRCA – especially the local chapter Boards who do so much work to provide programming and support for their members.

Board Spotlight

Meet our VP Accreditation and Ethics, Lori Quiller, APR! Lori is an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. She has held many positions on the state board of PRCA as well as in PRCA Montgomery. Lori has also been named to the PRSA College of Fellows this year.
