Letter from the President

Can you believe it’s almost fall? How has that happened? Where did the time go? I know for your state PRCA Board, the year has been spent accomplishing many things for us all. Below is a quick list of accomplishments thus far:
· The Board has been taking steps to help achieve our goals of the new strategic plan. Most groups are not only meeting but are exceeding the plans for 2024, which should make achieving the goals in the three-year plan easy peasy.
· I have instituted the Past Presidents Circle as a Presidential Ad Hoc Committee. The PPC will help the Board in accomplishing the goals of the association. Thus far, the PPC has committees working on creating steps for a new chapter; plans for supporting struggling chapters; and plans for a flexible chapter. Stay tuned to your email and to our social media for more details.
· If you are going to SPRF in October, please let me know. We are making plans to go to eat as a group on Monday evening at 6:15. I need to let the restaurant know how many to expect. Also, if possible, let’s sit together as during the Lantern Awards dinner to show our support for our PAA representative, Megan Hughes, APR, of the Montgomery Chapter.
Your Board is beginning to work on filling the slate for 2025. We turn in our SPRF Representative names in October and want to have our state slate filled by the end of September. If you are interested in joining the state PRCA Board, or if you are interested in serving as a representative to SPRF for PRCA, please let me know by August 31 by emailing me at [email protected].
Finally, as a bit of housekeeping news, you may notice that my last name has changed. My email will still contain Darnell, but correspondence from me will have my new name, Frazier.
If you know one of our Board members, please thank them for their service to us all. They are doing a wonderful job!
Best,
Lisa

Pizza was available free of charge and one drink ticket was provided to those who registered. NAPRCA is following up with those who registered to invite them to become members.
